So I was recently accepted into RN school. Although I'm super excited I'm just really nervous. I would like for anyone and everyone to share there advice and tips on how to succeed and prepare for this long journey. I've been out of nursing school for 5 years so Im not sure what I should study to get me back in the swing of things. Thanks

Congrats on getting accepted! It's normal to be nervous.
I wouldn't study anything before school starts, I would just relax. Once your program starts you're going to be BUSY and wish you had a break lol!
Before I started nursing school I taught myself med calc because that was our responsibility to learn, my school never taught us it, but we were regularly tested on it. So, maybe that would be something you would want to touch up on. Other than that I wouldn't worry about anything.
Best of luck!
Thank you so much!!! I just ordered me a dosage book. I'm just nervous it's been so long since I've been in school I just don't want to be behind. So I'm going to relax and start with dosages because that's definitely important.

Good luck! I agree with forvernursem! Do nothing and enjoy it right now. You will long for the time to relax or whatever. I would also say get organized! The sooner the better. Figure out a study schedule and stick to it! Finally when all else fails, remember why you started this journey. It will be tough, but the satisfaction of completing it is so worth it! Again, good luck!

How was your first semester?? Hopefully I’ll be starting soon, and I have no idea what to expect as well.

Know patho and the rest is cake. The best advice I ever received. Know the med classes and how they apply to your patient. What is the best med for low cardac output?, for example. The best of luck!!!!
