I'm not familiar with what you are referring to. The clinical skills exam is in person at one of the regional testing centers. There are some online tutorials to prep for the CPNE from a variety of sources. I checked the EC website and there is no reference to a virtual clinical exam that I can find.
Review this info from the Excelsior College forum on allnurses:
https://allnurses.com/excelsior-college-online/very-important-information-714112.html
18. Students have three chances to pass the Focused Clinical Competencies Assessment (FCCA), which is a two-part, computer-delivered exam that covers 1) head-to-toe assessment and the nursing process and 2) managing multiple patients and working in interdisciplinary healthcare teams. If a student fails the FCCA three times, he/she is dismissed from the program. There is a page about the FCCA: http://www.excelsior.edu/exams/fcca
19. Students who are enrolled in the FCCA may NOT collaborate on the FCCA. This violates the school's academic honesty policy. This information comes directly from EC faculty, and we take it seriously at allnurses. Do NOT discuss FCCA content or mechanics. We mean it.
Hello I had been doing a little research on excelsior and I'm not sure about it. What insight can you give about it.Thank you

hello all just wondering if anyone took their excelsior virtual skills online and if so could give me any insight on what to expect.. a little nervous as I am an LPN who has only done "real life" skills so a little confused about what to expect on a computer screen..ie; how long it is?, content on it, etc...
