Excelsior in Texas

Published

Hi! I was just wondering if anyone has heard if Excelsior is going to remain accredited in Texas. It seems like an online LVN - RN program is the only way I can get my RN at this point. Thank you!

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

Have you looked at Online University | Accredited Online College Degrees | WGU Their prelicensure BSN program is available in several cities in TX.

I'm looking into that option too. I'm just worried about the semester I would have clinicals since they say they don't recommend working at that time.

There are clinicals throughout the program- but they are condensed, and you get a calendar outlining all of the clinical windows for the ENTIRE program when you enroll. Plenty of students work during clinicals including the 5 week Role Transitions. In fact, MOST students work during the entire program. I'm not sure who "they" are, but I work in this program.

Specializes in Hospice.

Have you checked on Excelsior's web site or contacted them directly?

I'm an Excelsior grad and I found they provided direct responses to all the questions I had.
