Excelsior Study Guide Question?

Published

Hi everyone!

I have been attending a local community college (RN program) and after this semester will have all of my general ed classes completed. I recently applied to Excelsior College and my transcript is on its way to admissions. I understand from reading all of the many posts here that one may complete NC1 and NC2 without actually enrolling with Excelsior- and that LPNs do not have to take NC2 also. I've tried to locate the Study Guide for NC1 on Excelsior's website and am not sure what it is called or where to find it? I figure the more I can do now (and hold off on that enrollment fee ;)) the better. Thank you!

The new curriculum(Those enrolled after 10/1/07) the test are no longer called NC1-7. You are wasting your time looking for them. The test your looking for is called Essentials in Health care Safety(AKA NC1). You should should download the nursing catalog for the new curriculum because the names are very different. Call Excelsior admissions to get further clarification.

I took NC 1 while still in LVN(Texas calls LPNs LVNs) school (last semester) I didn't get the study guide as the info was being drilled in daily. (passed with a B) I did the practice exams and reviewed the free content guide. NC 2 was not needed when I became a LVN.
