I'm having a bear of a time finding study guides for the Fundamentals exam. There seems to be plenty of stuff for the Concepts exams 1-7, but I don't know how well those study guides would apply to the 8 credit Fundamentals exam. Has anyone here ever taken an Excelsior exam without exam prep in the form of study guides (ie: just using the textbooks)? Is that even possible? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks so much; I've started to get a little frustrated with not being able to find study materials.

Do be careful, since the Fundamentals exam is different from the NC exams. It's not applicable to the EC ADN, so I think you'll find fewer people out there taking it.

Feb 23, 2007 THe only 8 credit test that I'm aware of for Excelsior is the Clinical Performance Nursing Exam (CPNE). Is this what you are referring to for the Fundamentals 8 credit exam????If so, you will be sent the study guide when you have passed all of the NC 1-7 exams.
