Excelsior College

Hey fellow nurses and nursing students!!! I'm thinking TCN material would benefit me as it "appears" to be organized for Excelsior's program; where as, JUST using Excelsior's materials appears daunting to me and causing lots of restless nights after work. I'm speaking for myself of course. I've been using the content guide and books suggested and its working, however difficult finding a structure going from book to book. I'm attempting to figure out a outline to create and compare to practice exams to better prepare myself as a review.

I would like to hear from someone who has actually used TCN and completed Excelsior. Anyone out there? To those of you who completed the program books and content guide alone in a short period of time; I salute you because its a challenge..... P.S I love reading stories of alumni cause it motivates me so please share to assist others..... Thanks!

TCN material would benefit me as it "appears" to be organized for Excelsior's program; where as, JUST using Excelsior's materials appears daunting to me. The recommended books and content guide is the way to go, but it sure is difficult going from book to book. Still finding my way I guess. What a journey!!!!!! I salute alumni and students that only use books and content guide like Im doing now, because there is a lot of long nights reading.

I would like to hear from someone who has actually used TCN and completed Excelsior. Looking for other resources to put in the mix to compare with my daily readings. Want buy the material from TCN due to reputation on paying so much, but Im sure I can find used.

Specializes in Pediatrics, Emergency, Trauma.

You can get the material from Excelsior....TCN is NOT affiliated with Excelsior... There are plenty of threads about TCN; please do a simple search and find out about TCN; also look into the many threads about Excelsior as well. Best wishes!

Thanks! I read mix reviews on the company. Your absolutely right in regards to affiliation with the school, however some of the material match the book for extra resource, but TCN price is absurd. Not to mention its a contract! Ahhhhhhhhhhh! This is what makes it bad in my personal opinion. If im going to double pay; I just as well apply to med school cause or BSN traditional. I will be in a close range financially of what you would pay. All in all, I agree with you, stay clear unless you have the resources to pay twice, which is not wise in my opinion only. Go Excelsior students!!!!!!!!!!we rock! This program is not easy and this is the motivator

Best Wishes to you too!
