Excelsior College Grads in Orlando

Have any Excelsior College Grads in Orlando had any trouble getting jobs in ORMC or Florida Hosp? I heard that they wont look at you for employment if they seen you did ur degree on-line. Just wondering if this is really true.

I just finished my LPN at Orlando Tech and passed the boards last week and was going to start Excelsior soon. I just dont want to go thru it all and then can't get a job.

I'm currently an LPN employed at Winnie Palmer. I test in my CPNE in May. My Nurse Managers are aware of me being in Exelsior (first thing I told them when I was interviewed) and haven't given me any problems. There are a few Excelsior graduates who work in the hospital. Hth's.

I also live in Orlando and interviewed Southlake hospital and others. I now work for Hospice of the Comforter as a Case Manager and have had no issues with getting a job had several offers. I do know that Florida Hospital College doesn't recognize Excelsior don't know why? Maybe it has changed but, I am getting my BSN through Chamberlain College.

Thanks for your help. Right now I'm working as an LPN at a Pediatrician Office and I plan on starting my RN thru Excelsior in May and want to work at Winnie or Arnold when I'm done. So I just wanted to make sure I'm making a good decision.

Currently there's a hiring freeze within the hospital system :( Supposedly things are suppose to pick back up during the late spring/early summer.

If all goes well, I will have my RN license by the summer so there will be an open slot then :p
