  1. LUV4NURSING...i am about to apply for the LPN-RN Bridge program at VCC in September. I was wondering, you said sometime you go on campus for labs and theres clinicals. So do you need to be available twice per week or usually just once per week. I'm trying to see if I may have to make a job change as it gets closer if I get in. Thanks.
  2. Thank You. I think I'm gonna use the TCN and either studygroup or larands for this for Lifespan Developmental Psych test. :-) If anyone has any of the Excelsior textbooks on sale for Mico, A&P, or the nursing...let me know. I'd be intersted to buy.
  3. OK...I'm still very confused on what the right way is to study for Excelsior tests. I know they have their textbooks but I did find a current College Network study guide on ebay for $40 for the general psychology...would this book prepare me or are the College Network study guides not good? I'd hate to study from it and then fail the test and then go buy the book. Any feedback from anyone using the College Network guides? Also can someone tell me which text book is the best for general psych? I'd appreciate the help. :-)
  4. I need some help. I'm finally starting excelsior. When I look at the study guides, I'm very confused on what book or books to get. So many seem to be listed. I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right place. Does every text have a study guide or something? I'm taking lifespan psych first...so which books do I need to prepare?
  5. Thanks Steve. Did you use Excelsior's book or did you find other materials that worked for you best? Did you purchase the practice tests as well? Just looking to see which direction I should start.
  6. I have sent in my application along with my transcripts to start at EC. I finished my LPN in January and passed the boards in March and have been working as an LPN at a Pediatric practice since. I cannot wait to jump back into school so I can be making that RN money soon...ching ching! hehehe Anyways, I'm based out of Orlando Florida so if anyone else here is starting up and want to do some online study chats, let me know.
  7. Nurse_Eby...do you know if they have any LPN positions open now at Winnie?
  8. Thanks for your help. Right now I'm working as an LPN at a Pediatrician Office and I plan on starting my RN thru Excelsior in May and want to work at Winnie or Arnold when I'm done. So I just wanted to make sure I'm making a good decision.
  9. Have any Excelsior College Grads in Orlando had any trouble getting jobs in ORMC or Florida Hosp? I heard that they wont look at you for employment if they seen you did ur degree on-line. Just wondering if this is really true. I just finished my LPN at Orlando Tech and passed the boards last week and was going to start Excelsior soon. I just dont want to go thru it all and then can't get a job.
  10. I passed. I was on the BON website this morning! Yay! What a relief. Now I can start an LPN-RN transition in May and study all over again. :-)
  11. I took the NCLEX-PN yesterday for the first time. Can I tell you I have never been so scared in my life? My test shut off at 85 questions! My heart was pounding the entire time!!! I can check "quick results" tomorrow morning to see if I passed or failed! Ahhh...the anticipation is killing me.
