Excelsior Ace Credits

I've been watching this board for a while, but this is my first post. I have been slowly taking Excelsior ADN prereqs through Aleks and Straighterline over the last few months. I know I need to enroll prior to the Oct 1st deadline in order to get the Ace credits. My question is that I will not be able finish the preqs prior to enrollment. Can I still take the ACE approved courses I have left and have them transferred to Excelsior after I am enrolled?

Hi there memphisffp, I've been doing the same thing. I did Math through ALEKS, Information Literacy through Penn Foster, and Eng101 and Medical Terminology (not required, but I had a few extra days before my subscription expired) through Straighterline. I had those credits added to my ACE transcript, and sent to Excelsior. I plan to enroll tomorrow.

The new regulations regarding ACE credits will take effect for students enrolled after Oct 1. After that date, the limit for ACE credits for the ADN is 7 credits, and 15 credits for BSN and Masters.

If you enroll by October 1, you should not be subject to those limitations. To be absolutely sure, contact an Adviser at Excelsior.
