Hello everyone,
So exam cram is one of my reviewers for nclex RN, ...to those who recently took the exam and used this practice question book, how identical is it to the real nclex?.did it helped u a lot?. I Mainly use kaplan for questions and saunders for my content, also answering PDA book, since I have this book I wanted to utilize it and finish also answering this book before I take my Exam.. Any advice ? Thank you so much.. I appreciate your response. :)

I kind of used Exam Cram. I found the questions to be too easy and not up to the level of difficulty as the actual NCLEX. I found Kaplan questions to be much better. They are much more similar in terms in formatting and wording to the actual NCLEX. Kaplan questions are a bit more difficult, but after practicing strictly with the Qbank and Qtrainers, taking the NCLEX felt like I was taking an easier Kaplan practice exam.

It is indeed true that this is easier than kaplan.. In my kaplan I rarely get 60s in my Qbank , I'm still doing my Qtrainers in kaplan... Sometimes I get so frustrated that I wanted to cry because when I get 40s to high 50s in my Qbank I feel like I didn't learn at all.. I already finished reading saunders book I'm just reading my notes from saunders now (except pharma chapters, I used kaplan for pharma) but sometimes I forget some topics and it's really frustrating..

I took my RN board the other day and the questions are more similar to Kaplan. I did ATI (just because it was mandated by our school), Lippincott & Kaplan; but like what I said.. kaplan help me the most. I was doing between 53-64 on my Q trainers but I did just fine. I passed after 87 questions but I REALLY took my time in answering each question. It took me 2.5 hrs. If I am unsure of the answer, I read it 3 times. I have 6 hours to spare, might as well use it. Good luck.
I think it would be better to focus more on figuring out why you're getting certain questions wrong on Kaplan and take your time working through each Kaplan question applying their strategies instead of practicing more Exam Cram questions. Exam Cram questions are not passing level questions, so even though they can boost your self-esteem, I think you'd be doing yourself a disservice because the NCLEX questions are much harder. On the Qbank and Qtrainers I was averaging 60-70% and still passed with 75 questions. I was so used to the Kaplan level of difficulty that the actual NCLEX seemed easier in comparison.
