cnoto34- Congrats on passing 1st! Good luck in second! I wish you a great semester. :bookworm: :)

Tung1104 - Good luck on your first semester!

I graduated from EVC nursing in May! You can do it!

Awesome medlove!!!!!!!! U made it...

Thank you and Congratulation to you Medlove. It is nice to meet both of you :)

I have question about ATI Package. What are inside ATI package?

Thanks

The books have all the subjects we will be learning about and help us all four semester depending what we are learnin

tung1104- You use the ATI books in addition to your other assigned books for the program. Along the way you will take computerized ATI tests as you finish different subjects. These are used as a kind of predictor for the NCLEX. The ATI books are usually a more condensed version of the material you are learning.

Hope that helps!

@cnoto34 thank you for the luck! I'm still working on pre reqs. I have another year or so left. Just want to plan ahead on what I should do to increase my chances of getting in. I know the time will fly by.

When you say it was a tough and challenging program, is that because of clinical + homework. Or are the professors tough? What's a typical weekly schedule like? Thanks in advance for your input.

@30pls the workload is a lot ! Reading, clinical, study time, family etc... The teachers all have their pros/cons but they all are passionate and mean well. Take it all in and appreciate it! Just about everyone in nursing building are there to help you through it all!!

@30pls a typical week is 4-5 days ... Two lecture , two clinical, and study time is another part time job once u get home! And then there is skills lab where they teach u hands on

@30pls- It's not that the work is extremely "hard" it's just that there is A TON of work that has to be completed. As you have more patients in clinical- your work load increases- long nights - long days. You have to take it all one thing at a time or it can be very overwhelming.

BUT - that being said- IT'S ALL DOABLE! :yes:

@Medlove and @cnoto34: Thank you!
