Evergreen Valley College ... input please?

Hi everyone,

I just found this site and read a few of the threads. I saw that some people actually graduated from there so I have a few questions that I hope you could answer for me.

I'm from Oklahoma and might make the move to San Jose and attend Evergreen Valley College. However, I don't know anyone who attending and thus, have no personal info on it. I'm really confused on whether to stay in OK or go to Cali.

Is it hard to get in? How hard are the classes? Where do u go to do your classes like pysch..which hospital or medical center? Anyways, anything that you can let me know I will really appreciate it.

This question is to those who have previously applied to EVC. When you do typically get the notification email? I read on their site that it's by the end of December, but did you hear prior to that?

This year is my first application so I can't reply to your question exactly. However, I did notice that last year they were told they would be notified by the end of November and this year it changed to the end of December. In our orientation meeting she mentioned that the amount of application had almost doubled between the previous two years. So I am guessing that when the previous year students found out might not indicate when we will hear. But let's hope I'm wrong and that both of us will end up getting our acceptance letters soon ;-)

Did you get your e-mail today about the extension of the notification deadline?! Aaagghh... now it's January 28th! I am dying of anticipation!

I got it! Can't believe we have to wait another month to find out. I was so hoping we would both have wonderful new years news!

Hey, i got that e-mail as well. I was hoping to know by the end of the month because I was looking to relocate to san jose but now it looks like i'll be accepting the offer i got in l.a. since its guaranteed (and starts in Feb) I wish you all the best and i hope its good news for all of you come Jan. 28 =)

Aaaggghhh! Just received the e-mail from Evergreen saying I had been selected to take the TEAS! I must have made it up pretty high in the lottery! I am so excited! The list isn't posted online yet but have you guys heard anything yet?

Hi LaAngelita-

I got the same email today too! I've taken the TEAS V IV already and got an 86.5 so I have to send that score and then I'm waiting to see what happens. As far as I can tell, as long as we meet the TEAS requirement we are in! Have you taken V. IV or are you going to take the V. V at EVC? Congratulations on your email :yeah:

Yeah... I have taken TEAS 4 & V and did well too. I sent over my transcript yesterday. And I think you're right, that having passed it we are already in and just waiting to find out for which semester! Congrats!

Hi, EllieBean13!

Congrats on Fall admit. I actually requested Spring instead since I am currently doing missionary work in Costa Rica and am sad to have to leave.

Another exciting turn of events though... I received a couple of weeks ago my acceptance to San Francisco State's nursing program as well (also for Spring 2012). Their program is a 5 semester Bachelors so I am pretty sure that I will be accepting their offer instead but am still thinking about it. EVC does have a really good program as well!

If I don't see you at EVC, then best wishes in your program.

wow congratulations! I've known several BSN SFSU students and they loved the program.
