This is a forum for those who are applying to EVC's nursing program in 2024 in both fall and Spring (2025) semester. It has been a wait, and it would be great hearing from other students who are applying as well about their journey to entering a nursing program and share advice while going through this process. We are here to uplift each other and make the overall competitive nature more inclusive!
So from what I know, it may take a month and a half to hear back from EVC (straight from the horse's mouth). Many applicants I've heard from previous cohorts have gotten in with surprisingly not as high scores. Many I hear have been getting especially off of the waitlist.
About me. I am a volunteer at a local hospital in the bay area (+300 hours). My overall score on the application was an 83 and my TEAS score is 88
How exciting!! I was curious how all of this works. I know they mentioned everyone needs to respond by May 12th, so was thinking about how many alternates would get in. Did they mention if you will be in Fall of this year, or Spring 2025?

They sent out another supplemental application if you marked down that you have interest in the CEP (formerly ICCP) dual enrollment on the general application. They sent it through email, do double check it!

Are there any deadlines set for that? I'm alternate #22 so I'm not sure I will even have a chance. But I'm wondering how it would work if we get pulled off the list for fall.
The deadline to turn in the CEP portion midnight on May 12. I would ask about those trying to come off the alternate list that are interested in the CEP portion as the SJSU one starts sooner in the Fall. The other respective option is the ASU CEP, which they haven't disclosed any information about yet.
I just got an email that 15 alternates were pulled off the list today. I'm now #7. I wonder if I'll have a chance now.
Yes! I got an email that I'm off the alternate and in for either this fall 2024 or Spring 2025. However I am most likely accepting my cabrillo offer, I hope that helps!
