Evergreen Valley College (EVC) Fall 2024 Spring 2025

Hello! Wanted to create a community of us applying to EVC's nursing program in 2024. Let's share our journey!

Published

This is a forum for those who are applying to EVC's nursing program in 2024 in both fall and Spring (2025) semester. It has been a wait, and it would be great hearing from other students who are applying as well about their journey to entering a nursing program and share advice while going through this process. We are here to uplift each other and make the overall competitive nature more inclusive!

So from what I know, it may take a month and a half to hear back from EVC (straight from the horse's mouth). Many applicants I've heard from previous cohorts have gotten in with surprisingly not as high scores. Many I hear have been getting especially off of the waitlist.

About me. I am a volunteer at a local hospital in the bay area (+300 hours). My overall score on the application was an 83 and my TEAS score is 88

They really upset me. They took forever to approve my patho and pharmacology and promised me that it would be included in the review. They approved it after the deadline and I had to hound them. Then today they told me to complete the classes and it would increase my points. I was qualified but didn't have enough points. They're so disorganized it's not even funny. WOW!?!?

I got the same exact email that said that too. I feel like they copy pasted all the rejected emails regardless of all the different reasons for rejection.

GUYS I got an email, but the application did not update. Here's what it said:

I got the same email! What does conditionally accepted mean?

If it makes you feel better, check their attrition rates. They're not great (probably speaks volumes about their organization).

I got this same email but the approved my patho and pharm. I wish they had sent this earlier so I could call them. I'm so upset. Those 10 points could've gotten me in.

I would dispute that especially if they were being sloppy with it and didn't take it into consideration

Also got accepted as an alternate. Going to CSU for sure LOL. image.thumb.png.4fe3642820d09ca2d9f4a9c970b34198.png

Welp, I'm off to retake my TEAS in July and apply for Spring BSN programs depending on what CSM and CCSF tells me. Congratulations to everyone who made it and to those who didn't like me, rejection is redirection 🫡

I didn't get in. Does anyone have any other recommendations for programs.

I'm going to Unitek... That's my plan B

Hello,

I got accepted! I went all-in for EVC and it was my only application.

Stats are- 90.7% TEAS. 3.67 Science GPA. Cumulative GPA - 3.929. Work experience CNA 2 Years, SNF and VA Hospital. Points Total-83

Can people who were accepted share your merit points? Mine were 77 with Patho and pharm. But they didn't count my Patho and pharm even though they approved my course subs. I think 77 should have gotten me in.
