Everest College Ontario RN program

Published

Hello all,

I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.

Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?

I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.

And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??

Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Took mine the same day ;) well hopefully soon, good luck! I'm an LVN too. Where do you work?

Feels like forever ago!

Small world...I'll let you know if I hear anything. ;)

I'm not working. Just passed boards in February...then had to go cross country for a couple months to deal with my divorce, etc...

Hey my name is Cassandra I passed the test in mid September and I still am waiting for my call. I actually have a favor to ask of anyone who passed the exam and are awaiting your interview, I have two little girls and they got a hold of the application forms I received after my exam I was wondering if any of you could maybe scan a copy of it if you have the ability to e-mail me a copy, I am so upset with my lil ones, so if you could help I would greatly appreciate it!

I could send you a copy, but I've already filled mine out. If you want to try to white it out or something...that's fine. I would just need your email address to scan and send it to

So those of you who passed the test in order to get in to the school was there some sort of book or study guide you used? I am planning on going to a meeting sometime in febuary and I would like to prepare for the test.

Hello All,

I did tons of research, but found nothing indicating an LVN-ADN program for Everest.

No calls back from the school either:-(

The info meeting (from what I see on this thread) is only offered twice a year?

Can anyone tell me what is needed to enroll?

HESI? What subjects are on the Hesi and what scores do you need? And anything else I might need to know.

Thank you so much!

Ok to begin you must attend an info session which only run certain days in august and february. The august would be the beginning of the process to get into the January start.

It is an entry level RN program. There are lots of LVNs in the program but they start at the beginning of the program. There is no guarantee there will be a spot for the LVNs at the 1 year point AND many LVN program sciences do not have labs making them ineligible for RN transfer (at least to everest).

You wanna get the Hesi A2 book which will help you on ur preliminary test. You must do well on the math and english portions to be considered for an interview. If you are transferring in the sciences then you need to pass those portions as well.

Once you get an interview you need to make sure you do really well and also bring some letters of recommendation. Lots of competition, make sure you stand out

Cassandra send me your email and I'll send you a copy. I still haven't filled mine out yet.

Are there any prerequisites you have to take in order to get in to the school?

No, but if you have some and they are transferable your cost is lower.

Hello, I took my test the same day...haven't gotten a call yet..I scored a 87%..I thought that was decent..I know I'm being blunt with my score, but the evolve web site said that the average was 68. So, I don't know what's the hold up. Any word from you guys yet?

No you are able to enter straight out of high school.
