Ever have a day like this?!?!?!?!

Morning meds at my facility are scheduled so that they coincide with our breakfast buffet. This is done so while I am serving breakfast to my residents and "John Doe" walks in I can administer his meds and I can kill two birds with one stone. ANYHOW....Yesterday I was just finishing up in the dining room and I heard a resident screaming at the top of her lungs, arguing with her roommate. Both residents in this room are usually A&O. Resident A seemed to believe the blanket on RES B bed was hers. (Its not. Was clarified by both families and also I personally remember the family of res B bringing it in) Res A fought with her roomie and staff all day regarding this . When we would leave the room, Res A would go to the bed of res B and pull the blanket off. There was no reasoning with res A at all! All she did was scream and cuss at me and repeat her favorite saying "I was an RN for 51 years and I was the boss" Is this what Im gonna be like when I am 80? Needless to say she is having chem 7/ UA c&s this morning to role out any kidney/urinary infections. I hope when I am that old I am the one running naked down the hallway with all my glory flopping in the wind!!!! :clown: LOL What would u have done?

I hope to be happily demented some day, because I don't want to know my health is going. Plus then I can pinch all those cute grandsons of other residents on the tush and just smile:saint:

I would have said, "Wait a minute! Now that I think about it...that's my blanket!!! Yup, hmm mm...I specifically remember my mother made that for me for my high school graduation & I've been looking for it for quite some time..."
