Does anyone know of any evening LVN- RN programs in Houston Texas? I may relocate there as they seem to have the best pay rates.

Moved to the Texas Forum to get you the most responses. Good luck!

I am currently in an evening RN program at San Jacinto College Central (in Pasadena). Because of the lack of evening teachers, they only offer the evening program every 2 years. So the next time it will become available is in May of 2008 when I graduate.

It is only open to 30 students and is based on "first come - first serve" basis. Once you get your acceptance package there would be a letter stating that they are offering it and that you must be 1 of the first 30 people to call and reserve a spot.

That is the only one I know of, however I do not know ANYTHING about any other nursing programs - as I did not apply anywhere else.

If you have any questions, let me know!

there's a school called north harris college. under it are five other schools and most of them do nursing courses. however, the only one evening program that i know of is a part of this college called, kingwood college. they offer evening programs there. you may wish to access their website www.nhmccd.edu and call them and find out or find out by yourself, all info you need are basically online. i believe their deadlne has passed but you can still turn in ur papers if u really do need it for this yr. u never know, they might still conisder u since we are still in march. otherwise, just get all the info u need and apply for the next time u are ready. i hope this helps. all the best...

Lonestar Kingwood has an evening LVN/Paramedic to RN program. The deadline has passed for this year, the program starts in the Fall, so next application would be in Jan 09. The other Lonestar campuses only offer day transition programs.

Perhaps HCC or San Jac?

Lone Star College Kingwood campus only, has an evening LVN to RN transiton program. Class is two nights a week with a Sat clinical. They also offer an online LVN to RN transition and an online basic RN second degree (must have an Associate or Bachelor's degree). This is called the Quest program. All online with a lab once a week in the evenings and clinical on Sat. Yeah Kingwood!!! Working LVNs so needed something like this! http://www.lonestar.edu/nursing-requirements.htm

Good Luck to all!
