Evening LPN programs in and around bronx area

Published

I'm looking into evening classes for LPN which I'm learning sounds easier than it actually is. I have the pre requisites most programs are asking for but I had to retake the lecture portion of A&P I & II twice as I didn't receive passing grades the first two times. This is proving somewhat of a barrier, which is why I decided to do LPN first and then transfer to an RN program later on. I would like the school to have hands on curriculum. I also want to ensure that the school I go to is accreditted and also assists with job placement into a hospital setting after completion. Any experiences you want to share are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Job placement into a hospital setting is probably not going to happen. Very few hospitals employ LPNs any longer in the inpatient setting.

Your state Board of Nursing has a list of approved programs- that's always a good place to start.

I think maybe that depends on the area because I'm a CNA and have been applying for jobs & all I see on the listings are hospitals looking for LPNs. I did look at the list, however, I'm looking for peoples personal experiences because most have mixed reviews. Thanks.
