EVC 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi, I couldn't find a thread for Evergreen Valley College so I wanted to start one. This is my first time applying, are you applying too? Have you applied last year? Do you know what was the point cutoff for last year? I just want to get an idea of my chances.

Thanks and good luck to us all.

No, I didn't. I have kids so I chose programs that were with in proximity of family assistance ? or home.

I totally understand that! I tried not going to far, since I have kids too.

Hi,

I applied as well. I haven’t taken the Teas yet, I applied for LVN-RN Transition. Good Luck ?

Hi!

I also applied for EVC. Good Luck to everyone who applied! I got approx. 68 points keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey y’all! I know we’re a month away, but has anyone heard of any updates/news?

No, last year they waited all the way till Feb 27 to hear anything. I'm sure you can always call and ask where they are in processing applications.

At this point of waiting, I am making myself busy by applying to other programs, picking up work hrs, and planning ahead for classes so that I don't drive myself crazy lol

Me too!the wait is killer!! Most programs have the apps done in 2 months.

What other programs are still open?

I am also applying to currently open programs: Chabot, Ohlone, Fresno City college, & College of the sequoias. Sacramento city, American River College, and Modesto junior college are all open next month too.

Besides Chabot's waiting period, it feels like forever when you are waiting for some good news. ?

I looked into Fresno, but was kinda worried about applying with them having a lower NCLEX score. Also, it would be a 2.5 hour commute (not including the possible traffic) even though I don't mind commuting, I would be worried about my commute back home alone and tired after a long day.

I would be relocating if I get in anywhere more than 1hr outside of Sacramento area.
