Hey guys! Just wanted to start a page for the Fall 2022 cycle at EVC. This is my first time applying and I'm hoping to apply with 85 points. Curious if this is competitive compared to previous years? It'd also be nice if y'all can share your scores ?

If makes it feel better I had to opt out of the program because I’m missing an art and humanities class. I figured I would apply to the sjsu RN to BSN bridge program and maybe hopefully be able to get reimbursement from a future employer!

Oh no! I am sorry, at least we get our foot in the door. That’s so true I’ve heard a lot of employers send you to get your bachelors. I also think a lot of new grad programs accept Associates in nursing

Yes! I saw that some previous graduates were able to make it into ICU new grad positions with their associates so I think we will definitely have a fighting chance landing a job out of school!

There’s so many employers who will pay for your RN to BSN! I currently work for the county and they will pay for your schooling and leave (if you have class during a scheduled shift). When I also worked at DaVita as a hemodialysis tech, they had their own program for RN to BSN. There are so many endless resources to help RN’s obtain their BSN. They often prefer BSN RN’s because they receive more funding if they have a higher number of BSN to ADN. You guys got this!

I think you still can apply because GE completion is just a recommendation. You can take online classes at Foothill or De Anza this Spring. I’m taking a drawing class at Foothill now. It is really fun.

It was a recommendation? On the intent to enroll form it said it was required. Does the application for the ICCP program say different? I didn’t receive one because I checked that I didn’t meet the requirements.

I’m so sorry about that Leenny, I think they should give all alternates this chance to be fair to everyone.

Yeah, it says this. And I think it makes sense too because the BSN at SJSU doesn’t require GE completion. But we should complete before graduation. You should contact them to get one for yourself.
Option #1: If you are an upper division transfer applicant pursuing 1st bachelor's degree in the ICCP program, you must:
Have completed a minimum of 60 semesters [or 90 quarter units] of CSU transferable units
Completed the 4-Basic GE's [aka: Golden 4GEs for the CSU] - Oral Communication [CSU A1], Written Communications [CSU A2], Critical Thinking [CSU A3, and Math Concepts [CSU before]
Have a 2.0 GPA to be CSU eligible and a 2.75 overall transferable GPA to be eligible for the ICCP program [RN-BSN]
Recommend to complete CSU Core GE or be CSU GE fully certified [CSU GE certified or CSU IGETC GE certified] and completed PE and American Institution requirements too.

Wow the wording on the intent to enroll made it sound required. I actually did just enroll in a late start art program this Spring. That is frustrating.
