I just wrote about why I want to be a nurse, why I'm applying so late in life, and I think I put something in there about liking the opportunity to have clinicals in the UPMC hospitals. My essay was pretty short compared to those described in some forums I've seen here. I think I only had about 3 paragraphs or so. As previous posters have said, I don't think they put a whole lot of emphasis on the essay, but I'd suggest you pay attention to your grammar, and use your spell checker. You don't want to sound like an idiot.Good luck.
