I need help with my entrance essay. Any feedback is helpful. Here it is :
My viewpoint of nursing comes directly from my desire to help people. I want to be a nurse because I enjoy being around people when they are in need. I get internal satisfaction by serving those that need help. A few years ago I volunteered at a hospital, and that is when I knew I had a desire to help people, and when I realized my passion for nursing. Everything I have done in my life, I have worked very hard for it This program will be no exception. First I will keep God at my side at all times. With Him all things are possible. Further more, I will continute to be confident in myself and work hard at everything I do to allow me to be very successful in this nursing program.I believe that the cure for many patients at the hospital is not only medicine but also has to do with the care they receive at the hospital and their homes. I believe that it is important to provide a patient with the right kind of atmosphere and environment that is conductive to his or her recovery. It is important to keep the room of the patient a place where he or she feels the soothing and healing effects from the environment. I believe that spirituality holds a very significant role in the profession of nursing. Once i become a nurse I plan to continue to be dedicated and sincere, but also very nurturing. These are just two of the many qualities that I feel a good nurse should possess. Having these two qualities well not only allow you to succeed in nursing but in life as well. Nursing is a fulfillment in life for me. It is a reward that I have been given and I can't wait to be able to give back what I have been so blessed to have.

Oh wow, thank you for your help. It was very helpful. Are you an RN by the way?
I also wanted to know if you know any books that are good to help me study for the nln?
Hello, Nursing Pride,
I am a BSN, RN. Although I can help with writing, I have to say that I am ignorant when it comes to which books are helpful.
You are welcome for the help!
Best Wishes.
lol, no problem. Thanks!!! im about to get my associates in science and hopefully get my diploma/license as an RN i am so nervous. Any tips? lol.
Perhaps you can take a writing/grammar course. I understand what you are saying, but people will judge you on this in nursing school. Gaining control of the language will give you skills that will serve you well in the nursing arena.
Since you do plan to continue your education, consider a 3 hour class of some kind to fill that knowledge gap. Writing is a skill that I promise you will use every day that you work as a nurse. Competency in this will decrease your anxiety and be a real step forward on the way to your next goal.
Otherwise, my best advice is to put one foot in front of the other. Continue to ask for constructive feedback. Stay away from negative people.
ok yes thanks, I am currently going to be taking a writing class for a whole semester, so hopefully it will do me good.
When do you graduate?
hopefully in 2 to 3 yrs. I have to take the entrance exam to the nursing school. As of now i am taking the pre requisites needed.
