Hi! I am a new grad RN. I have been out of school for almost a year and was so far unsuccessful in finding a job. I recently got called for an interview which is taking place soon. It is a nurse residency in the ER. I am really excited about the opportunity but also a bit nervous as I am not sure of what to expect. I have been on interviews before but never one for an ER residency and I am up against nurses who have just graduated. Any advice on how I can stand out on an interview?

Relax, smile a lot, be confident and engaging during your interview. I realized that even if your answers aren't exactly what the nursing manager is looking for a great personality can help overpower your limited knowledge base during an interview.
