For anyone reading this that may be able to answer.  I live in south Florida (Miami), yes crazy Miami.  I've been a nurse for 7 years (a change from the legal field) and am getting up there in years already.  I consider myself very good at starting IV (8 out of 10).  I've been  looking for, and am interested in ultrasound guided PICC and MID lines.  I found out that there is no course available down here (certification in Florida is not really necessary), so I would like to find a preceptor that is willing to precept me, so that I can fly solo and acquire a position in the field.

Anyone?  Please?

I would contact BARD. They often provide PICC "certification" classes.
