ER Interview: What should I expect?

Published

I am a Telemetry RN and I have over 6 years experience. I have an ER interview and am not sure of what questions I will be asked in ADDITION TO the basic interview questions? Could anyone fill me in on how your interview went AND what questions you were asked, please?

I transitioned from tele. It was so long ago they didn't ask the standard behavioral questions they do now. They might ask you about certs like pals, acls, tncc. Look up behav questions, things like, how do you solve a conflict with a coworker, a doctor, etc. Name a time where you went above and beyond for a pt, etc etc. Prob less clinical stuff. they want to make sure you are a good bean who will protect pts, and get along with others.

good luck!

I had a question where they said, you have a 65yr old M pt. that presents to the ED with abdominal pain. List every possibility you can think of that might be the cause.

What skills do you have for this position?

Describe a Time You Worked with Someone You Did Not Get Along With

What are you looking for in a job?

Tell me about a problem you had with a supervisor

Tell me about your ability to work under pressure?

Tell me about a time when you helped resolve a dispute between others

Do you prefer to work Independently or on a team?

How would you describe your work style?

Describe a time when your workload was heavy

How will you achieve your goals
