Congratulations on your graduation. My seventh grade math teacher, a nun left teaching to go to Episcopal's LPN program. I had the pleasure of encountering her almost twenty years ago as a young RN. She was a great lady who wanted to become a nurse, but the religious order steered her toward teaching (which she was very good at). In her 50's, she was able to realize her dream of becoming a nurse. For a time, she served as a school nurse at my grade school. She has now passed, but I couldn't help think of her seeing your post. Sr. Mary Anderson, SND was her name. Knowing what being a nurse meant to her, I am sure she will be "there" at these last two graduations.
It will be sad...I think it's the oldest, or second oldest, continuously operating nursing school in the country....Anyone know if I am right on that? Ah..the fireplace room...........I will miss the school! Sad to see an era end. It will always hold a special place in my heart. It was where I learned SO much about what I do every day.

If you attended Episcopal School of nursing in Phila, they will be closing next year. I am graduating on Friday Dec 12th and we are the 130th graduating class. I am so sorry to see this school close. I just wanted to let former students know they are closing. Hopefully, we can all get together next year for the last graduation. I no it's going to be emotional and special.
