Generally, an application analyst will troubleshoot any problems the end users have while using the program. You may also be responsible for updating any training materials, teaching new hires in the functionality of the Epic module. Your facility may also want to send you to Madison, WI for certification in the specific module you will be using. After that, you may also be involved in building any new components to the current module, whether it is to add a new line to the doc flowsheets or building smartlists for progress notes templates.
Ultimately, it will be the facility's job description that will be best information source as to what specific duties they expect from you.

Look at the phases of a project and in any application analysis role, you will be involved in any of these phases doing whatever "duties" it takes to do them.
Some will argue there are 5 phases, others will say there are 6 phases to a project life cycle, but I stick to 6 for simplicity.
1. Planning/Design/Documentation: Example, users say, we want xyz functionality, as an analyst, you meet with them and then you decide if the software supports the functionality. If it does, then you plan/design/document how you'll implement this functionality.
2. Building/Configuring Application: This is where you take your specs you got from your design meetings and you build the functionality in the application.
3. Testing
4. Training
5. Implementation
6. Support
Thus, you can easily assume that as an analyst, you might do duties that are related to all or any of these phases in a project.
