I feel like EKG and phlebotomy would help as the facility would not have to worry about training you. I know with my LPN program we learned about EKGs and phlebotomy, but we never actually performed them. Have you tried Indeed.com? Depending on where you are, you might get a lot of notifications of which places are hiring LPNs. For a couple of the places that weren't actively hiring, I would fill out an application (if on the website), and go to the facility. I would drop off my resume and cover letter with the application. Or if the website didn't have any, I would ask if I could fill one out.

Hello. I'm an LPN who graduated 4 years ago and just took the Nclex here in NY. I was offered another position in another field and put my LPN career on the back burner. Since then I have taken all my pre-requisite courses for the RN program but would like to get my experience as a working LPN. I'm aware that I waited a long time to take the NCLEX following my graduation and have no experience so my question is where do I start looking for a job in the field? Also would having my EKG and/or Phelobotomy certifications help me find a better position? Thank You for any suggestions and input you may have
