Entrance into macomb this year was really competative

Compared to last year it seems like people scored a lot higher on the hesi and had 4.0's....from going to the seminar i thought if i scored a 90 on the hesi and got a 4.0 i would be golden....this year my friend got a 90 and a 4.0 and was ranked 160.....im sure glad i did better on the hesi that i expected to.....does anyone else feel like this was a rough year to apply:uhoh3:

i paid 50 bucks for mine and it seems to work well...my husband is a RN so he made sure i got the kind i need without paying a ton for one that is more than i need

lol, I have been shopping for a stethoscope while at work today!

I was looking around online Saturday after I got my letter ! I heard the Littmans are good. My friend has the Master II and said she actually prefers her classmates' cheaper version; the one with the bigger diaphragm on it. I think it's less than $40. I love that you can choose different colors! Here's the one I was looking at:

thats the stethscope i bought ....it seems to work well....i got burgandy....i wanted the lilac but my husband said it would look soiled earlier than a dark color

It looks like for $24 you can replace the tubing :). I am getting the lavender; you can just be jealous of me everytime you see it ;). I wish I could get the raspberry in that model. Maybe if I replace my tubing I will pick that color. I told my husband he needs to buy me a new wedding band too, to wear to clinicals. He doesn't want some hot young doctor thinking I'm available :lol2: !

we think alike lol.....i wanted the raspberry too lol....the wedding band idea is good also....i wasnt going to wear mine beacuse i didnt want to soil the diamonds....hmmmm hot young doctors thinking your available....is that really a bad thing lol....just kidding....i have two kids and a husband i adore....what classes are you taking right now MIKELLY....im taking A@P it isnt bad

I am not taking anything right now (would have taken patho micro but there were no late classes offered for winter semester). I am going to start my Phed class next month, and then take micro this fall. Couldn't take micro this summer either, because they only had 1 pm classes :o ! Who do you have for A&P? I had Prof Ragland and really liked the class.

i have fields...he is a great teacher....im taking path this summer....and ethics with my first semester of nursing and thats my last one
