Partial Vent, Partial Questions!!!! Please bare with meI am a Med-Surg nurse with two years floor experience. My LOVE has always been the NICU! I chose to go med-surg to get some experience and get a "feel" for who I was as a nurse. I have lately trying to get a job in a NICU. At the hospital I work at, we have a level II - I have interviewed twice since December with them....and I got the same response each time - "We were so impressed! You are a great candidate! Make sure you apply the next time a job comes open! - BUT... we chose someone with NICU experience!" ARRRGHHHH.....I am so frustrated...I have also applied to 3 different level III hospitals in surrounding areas - but have not even heard a peep from them!....
So here's my stats:
I have a BS in Psych (my first round in college:))
ASN
I just yesterday applied to start taking classes for my BSN
I also bought Merenstein and Gardners "Handbook of Neonatal Intensive Care" - so that I can do some CEU's and post it on my resume.......
Now...What else should I do? Any other suggestions? Or just a simple keep at it!
Thanks

Would you be willing to work in a regular or special care nursery in the meantime?
