hi there,

i just signed up now after browsing through the forums.

does anyone know if illinois is issuing hard license just like vermont and new mexico? :wink2:

'coz i'm having a hard time contemplating where to apply for my nclex (vt, nm, or il). i would want a state that issues hard license, although vermont is my top choice where i want to work and live then transfer to california.

but anyways, i'm chitchatting to much..pls answer. anyone.:loveya:

You have a long wait ahead of you due to retrogression but if Vermont is your top choice then I would stay with it. You are still currently looking at a few years waiting so would recommend gaining nursing experience

hi there, thank you for that.

yes i am very much aware of the retogression that's going on, i'm hoping that the upcoming elections will pave way for us filipino nurses to go to the u.s easier.

by the way, did i say vt. i'm sorry my choice is really new mexico. that's why i'm planning to take up spanish classes while here in the philippines to have an edge there.:wink2:

can i just ask, is it possible to apply to 2 states at the same time?:p

thank you for having time to answer my questions.

in my personal opinion its not allowed applying in 2 states at the same time. you have to choose one state where you want to apply for your licensure exam. :loveya:

I doubt the elections will make it easier for one country to get visas. There will always be a limit on visa allocation and currently the demand is much higher than actual allocation plus there are many many nurses already in the queue
