Where is the best location for engraving on Littman Cardiology Stethoscope, the bell or the cross-tubing? We are gifting one to our new nurse intern graduate.

You can't engrave the tubing, but when they advertise about it, they are referring to laser etching. I personally think laser etching on the tubing is more hygenic, but engraving on the stethoscope head is more permanent (IMO).

I'd go on the cross tubing looks nicer, what color is the scope?

The bell. My master cardiology went missing when I left it on the table during report (something I never do, but did just once). I paid a ransom for its return and immediately had the bell engraved, as the tubing was previously etched. The tubing etching can be scratched off or covered. The bell engraving cannot. It also decreases its resale value (for those folks who snatch scopes just to sell on ebay or in the local paper).

i got a stethoscope for christmas. do you know where to go for engraving. after reading blogs i want mine engraved.
Any jewelry store should be able to take care of this for you. Lots of craftsmen have engravers as well and may be able to set you up.

I have a littman master cardiology and engraved both the cross tubing area and the scope head. The cross tubing area wore off the head engraving looks the same as the day I did it 20 years ago.
