Enforcement Question

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello All! I am currently a licensed nurse in Louisiana, my family is moving to Texas which we are super pumped about! I have gone through the process of obtaining my TX nursing license and the status now says after submitting all info "submitted for perm lic" what exactly does this mean? How long after this status does it take before you can find your license on the BON website. I recently interviewed for a job in Dallas with my temporary license and I am hoping my license is active before my temp runs out. Thanks guys!!

Hello Jencol1925,

I would like to know this as well. I am moving from NY to TX in July. I have completed the endorsement process, application, fingerprints, NY license verified, and NPA test on Friday (4/14). I recieved my temp license a month ago. Yesterday my application status updated to "* submitted for perm lic 4/17" and status "not completed".

I was wondering is this because my application needs to now be reviewed by a human being at the TX BON? Or is there more documents that needs to be submitted?

Any clarification would be much appreicated,

Vickii

None of us can really answer that. I suggest calling the Texas BON to get an update and clarification on the process.

Hi,

It's funny you just said that, as I am currently looking up the number to call.

I will post what they tell me based on my situation.

Thanks,

Vickii

ok y'all,

The representative at the TX BON told me that once all the required paperwork is completed and accepted by them the status then changes to "submitted for perm lic [date]". [date] being when the acknowledge the application is complete. This is to signal the application is now in review by a human being at the BON. If more info is needed by them, they will place a new update, if all is well within 10-15 days I will be granted my perm license.

Hope this helps with the clarification if anyone else gets confused by the process.

CAn I aask when did you start the process and how long did it take?
