Endorsing to Texas from CA

Published

Hi. My mom is endorsing her CA RN license to Texas. But we just found out California BON takes 6-8 weeks to process a license verification! My mom's temporary permit will expire in November and we're afraid that her verification won't be received before her temporary permit expires. Can anyone share their experience with their endorsement to Texas from CA? How did it go?

Note....I endorsed back in 2011, so your mother's mileage may vary.

I was fingerprinted at a LiveScan center in California in June 2011 and attached the fingerprinting receipt to my complete endorsement application. I mailed everything to the CA BRN the next day.

Seven weeks later, on July 28th, my permanent CA RN license was issued.

omg! i'm so sorry. I put the wrong title to my question. I should've put to Texas from CA. I've edited it already. Thanks for your input tho!

Their website states they're currently processing applications received in early April ...so they're not known for speed. And if anything is missing, incomplete, incorrect, etc., you can count on an even longer wait.

I've obtained TX licensure via endorsement twice (LVN '06, RN '10). Both times, the process took five to six weeks, and the major holdup entailed waiting for the California BVNPT / BRN to verify my CA licensure.
