Hi guys...I am in the process of endorsing my RN license from MA to TX. It has been almost three weeks and no temp license yet. Tx recived my application and check on Feb. 3rd. I called and it took them over 20 mins to find me in thier system. I am planning to move out there in March...should i be worried. Does it usually take this long? The BON website says within 15 buisness...

the temporary license took about 3 weeks but I have been waiting for my permanent for six weeks so apply for that long before your temporary is expired. They are very slow and I call every week. Very frustrating.

I sent in my endorsement fee and application Feb 6. At first I was waiting to be mailed a temp license (not sure why I thought that's how it would work). I received my fingerprint card and FAST Pass yesterday, Feb 17, in the mail. I checked on the Texas BON website and searched for myself under temp license and I popped up. I believe the temp license is good for 120 days. I, too, am moving to Texas within the next 2-3 months. Part of the wait time for the perm. license is validation from your current home state. I'm in IL so I'm not able to use Nurys -I have to send in the paperwork and wait for processing from IL then wait for them to mail it to TX and wait for that processing as well. You should be fine if a prospective employer will allow you to work under the temp license while your perm one is processing.. that I'm not sure about.

When do we get the fast pass in the mail? My temp license number is up but status says being processed.
Took a total of 7 weeks to endorse to Texas. I called every week or it would have taken longer.

This is very helpful information. Thank you to everyone who's participating.
I'm a previous resident of New Mexico, now living in Texas.
I applied for endorsement around 1/31/14 and received my temporary license on 2/18. It is good for 120 days.
I did not receive my Fast Pass by mail. I had to go to the Identogo site and register and print out my own pass. (Perhaps this is because I live in Texas?)
Had the fingerprints done 2/20 and have heard nothing since. When I look myself up on the BON site under "Check status of application," it shows three items required (verification of licensure, juridprudence exam, and background check) and only "background check" shows no "date completed."
By the way, I have no criminal record of any kind, so it's not like anything's going to show up
How long does the background check normally take? It's only been two weeks, so I guess I'll give them a month or so. But it seems in this electronic day and age it shouldn't take very long!
Also, is there anything not listed that I should be submitting? I don't find their instructions all that helpful. They basically say, "This is generally how it works, but there may be other things you need to submit, and you have to figure that out on your own."
Thanks in advance.
