Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Master of Nursing (MN) Fall 2023

Updated:   Published

Hey Everyone,

I did not see a thread started for this topic.

I applied to Emory’s MN (Master of Nursing) program August 1st and was accepted on September 15th (Decision Day). This program starts in Fall 2023.

Good Luck to those that are applying!

Specializes in Bs, ms, teacher and currently obtaining BSN/RN.

Accepted and on the waitlist

applied super late!

Can you clarify what you mean by both accepted and on the waitlist?

Sure I was admitted but placed on the wait list until a seat opens

so just the opposite of being rejected

If one does I can enroll if not then I have to reapply

Any chance you would mind sharing what your admission decision/letter states? Mine just says they decided to place me on the waitlist

It's probably the generic letter

did you call and talk to them about how it works? that's how I got the info

and there's no ranking she said each time they review all the waitlist applicants to see who the best fit is for the spot so to keep updating application if anything changes

ex new job

Yeah that's exactly what my admission decision says. I was just wondering if there was some other waitlist where spota are given automatically as they open up or something but that's what mine says, that the entire WL is reviewed. Thanks!

I know some waitlisted applicants were wondering if everyone who is not accepted is waitlisted.. I asked and here's the official answer

Wow I feel a little better about myself knowing that I didn't get denied LOL

I had been accepted into Emory's Fall 2023 cohort but decided to defer as my baby was due only a few months prior to the start of the program. It really made me feel a lot better about deferring to know that someone really ready to start the program would be able to fill my spot in my place. I am now in the Fall 2024 cohort & am starting the program next month!! Any advice and insight would be greatly appreciated, if anyone sees this, please! I'm especially wondering how many hours you spent studying outside of class/clinical requirements. I'm a mom of 2 littles so am trying to prepare myself! 😅
