Emory University Master of Nursing (MN) Pathway to Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) - Summer 2025

Hi everyone! I'm starting this thread for applicants to Emory's MN to MSN Pathway program as the August 1st deadline is almost up!

I applied with a 3.5 GPA and am currently a senior in undergrad. My transcript includes two D's and two C's from my freshman year, as I had a challenging first year. However, my grades steadily improved afterward. I applied without having completed A&P I and II. I have been working as a medical assistant for the past 2 years, volunteered extensively, and was actively involved in several clubs. Overall, I would describe myself as an average student and was really surprised when I found out I was accepted.

Thats awesome Congrats!! 3.5 GPA is great, also the medical assistant experience. I worked as a med assistant the past year and half , but I am not the average student, got my AA in 2011 didn't do well, but I did great with my BA in 2019! We shall see.

I received a congratulations with confetti saying I was selected for the mn to msn pathway for FNP along with the information of submitting my deposit and next steps. Is that what you guys are seeing? Maybe it varies for specialty but congrats to everyone who got in!

Yes, mine was like that too. But, mine said MN to MSN Pathway. It didn't specify FNP, did yours? I also applied for FNP.

Same here, mine doesn't say the FNP specialty and that's what I applied to.

Whoops yes you are right it looks like it should have been placed before "concentration.”  So they might just not specify in the letter. But I definitely think your accepted!

When is the start date for the MN to MSN program? On the website it says Summer semester, but on my letter it says Fall start, August 27(first day of class). Does everyone else's show the same?

mine doesn't say when classes start, but it says that all my prereqs have to be completed prior to May 16th 2025, which I am assuming is when Summer classes start

I would call and check maybe they accidentally sent you the wrong acceptance letter. The MN starts in fall and MN pathway I would think starts in June. But I also didn't receive a date.

Has anyone else not received their decision yet? I applied before the 8/1 deadline and should've gotten my decision 10/15, but I still haven't heard anything via email and OPUS just says "Application Received". I emailed on Thursday to follow up and haven't received an email response either. Not sure if I should follow up again or just keep waiting...

Do you have an option to pay the admissions deposit, by chance?
