Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hey Everyone,

I did not see a thread started for this topic.

I applied to Emory’s MN (Master of Nursing) program August 1st and was accepted on September 15th (Decision Day). This program starts in Fall 2023.

Good Luck to those that are applying!

Hi there again. I remember an admissions representative said Emory practices a holistic approach when evaluating applicants. Therefore, factors such as personal statement, resume, letters of rec, work experience, etc are considered as well. In my case, I definitely felt like my personal statement and letters of recommendations helped me a lot. Good luck on your nursing journey!

Do you know if letters are required? They aren't mentioned anywhere on the application so I never submitted them both times I applied

so the letters of recommendation aren't required, they're optional.

They aren't required but you can upload your letters in the portal as an "other document".

Do you think I should send them my TEAS score? Would that be a little helpful? And I definitely didn't know we were able to send letters of recommendation. I did send my personal statement when I initially applied.

I just created a facebook group for the Fall 2023 cohort, since I didn't find one already made. Feel free to join using this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/3388279374744173/?ref=share&mibextid=S66gvF

or just search "Emory MN Fall 2023 Cohort"

Hi, I think you should send anything that you feel will make your application stand out!

Specializes in Bs, ms, teacher and currently obtaining BSN/RN.

I applied the day before the deadline (I know!) and am in but waitlisted. What are the chances of getting off the wait list? I also got in at other schools. I just really like their program

Does anyone have any insight on the waitlist? Like will we hear back either way

You probably won't hear back unless you're admitted from the waitlist. I was waitlisted for Spring 23 and didn't hear back. There have been a few cases here on allnurses of people getting in off the waitlist. Of course not every applicant uses this site, I'd imagine it's fairly common for some spots to open up as it's an expensive program.
