EMORY ABSN+MSN 2017

So I decided to start a thread for the Fall 2017. Any current/prospective student on here? What GPA did you have when you applied and how competitive is the selection process? If you don't mind sharing your work experience and GRE score, that will be awesome. For those who are enrolled, do you mind sharing your experience?

I called on November 17th because I still had a red X on my profile for my GRE. They said they had miscalculated my GPA and that it would need to be reevaluated. I got an apology email from Emory shortly thereafter. Since then, I've been checking the portal but it still has a red X. Trying not to get too anxious about it!

Has anybody that didn't hear back on the 15th received a decision yet?

Im waitlisted unfortunately, but I've been accepted to 4 other schools so no biggie. At least the wait is over lol

Hi everyone! I'm a little late to the game, but I was also waitlisted today. Does anyone know if they pull from their waitlist and what our chances are of getting in the program? Fingers crossed that I get in!

Undergrad: Public Health

Healthcare: 5+ years in the ED as an EMT

GRE: Average

I was admitted to the ABSN+MSN program on November 15. Here are my stats:

Undergrad: Four-year private college in Boston, but I took most of my prereqs at a community college

Major: English

GPA: 3.89

6 months experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in a retail pharmacy

I opted out of Nutrition

Also, I just sent them an email asking whether the program starts in the summer or the fall because I was wondering about that too. I rather we get to start in the summer!

I was waitlisted too! Not an acceptance, but not a denial, so we'll see. Also just got offered a phone interview with Vanderbilt, so that's a little encouraging...this whole process is so, so nerve wracking. Fingers crossed!

Got an email back. They said ABSN + MSN starts in the summer.

Also, no word of financial aid yet. I'm a little annoyed. Why bother telling us they're going to release information on certain dates if they're not going to?

Hey guys,

For some odd reason when I login to my OPUS account, the link to view my financial aid is gone. I don't know if this means that they are in the process of updating my aid package onto OPUS, but I don't have access to my financial aid portal. Did this happen to anyone else?

I spoke wth my financial aid advisor at Emory earlier this week, and she told me that all students being considered for merit scholarships will receive a decision on December 15th.
