Emergency Room Pay

in the hospital you work at, what is the average starting pay for a new rn.

i havent graduate yet but was thinking about starting in this department.:nurse:

I don't know what the actual pay is but I know that it's not any different than any other unit. ER nurses certainly don't make any more anywhere around here.:eek:

The pay is going to vary widely from state to state, as well as city to city.

The pay is the same whether you are on the med surg unit or the ER. Hospitals do not differentiate.

I know that the hosptial I do clinicals at is "in need" of ER nurses. The pay rate is the same but the sign on bonus is higher. The rate is 19.00/GN and 20.00RN
