Emailing hiring managers for position inquiry

Hi everyone,

I've been working at my hospital for over 8 years as an LVN full time while pursuing my RN license and recently graduated in May. I'm trying to apply as an internal applicant as an RN to a few units, however I'm not sure how to write an email introducing myself or if this is appropriate to do. There is a new grad residency program opening up, however I wasn't picked for the last cohort and don't know if emailing managers would make a difference. If so, should I use my personal email or my work email? Any advice would be great!
