Elcentro fall 2017

Published

I know its super duper early.. I'm still in the process of taking my pre reqs.. I still need biol 1406 & bio 2401 I made a B in engl 1301 & A in psyc 2301.. I plan on taking bio 1406 in fall & bio 2401 in winter semester. Im taking as many supporting classes as I can to rack up on the extra points. I currently attend collin but they have so many more requirements than el centro so in the event i do not get accepted into elcentro the following semester I will apply at collin.. I still need Hesi & all my shots along with cpr.. anyone in the same situation? Or just getting the process started?? I figured I'd start a thread to help us all get over this together.. feel free to comment advice, concerns or questions :)

Gosh I wish the 31st would hurry up and get here I'm going crazy I've had everything turned in since November I just wish I knew my fate. The only thing that is saving me right now is that I have most of my BSN courses complete. I'm praying for everyone, best of luck to all.

How many points did you apply with I heard last semester nobody really applied so along as you had everything you got in.. I know someone got in with 21 points

When I counted everything I got a total of 33 points I hope that is enough to get in Fall semesters are really competitive, that's why I'm nervous. All we can really do is wait until April.

I think that will be enough! If you think about it the cut off was 21 points last semester, do you think that the cut off would raise more than 10 points? I'm thinking the cut off this semester will be around 27 points... that's also what my advisor had said. Good luck! I hope we are all able to get in! :)

I don't think so .. less people are applying become of the hesi .. I have 26 points before the hesi but I can't apply till I pass it .. So I think the hesi as been a big game changer since they changed the rules last year ... I'm sure you guys are at a great point..

You know I have confidence its just that when you have been focusing on trying to get good grades and you go through all the struggles and triumphs for two years of just finishing up pre-req's you kind of doubt yourself. I constantly reflect back and I think of all the struggles I've been through trying to become a nurse and the last thing I want in my hand is a rejection letter. I'm trying to stay calm and I'm just trying to take it one day at a time.

You will pass it just focus, that is what I had to do in order to pass. I was thinking about other things that really did not matter. I had to clear my mind a focus strictly on the HESI. Once I saw that I could pass I had all the motivation to pass all of my classes this fall with all A's you can do it. Good luck!

Yes focus is key! I even hired a tutor which really helped me get a complete understanding of the areas that I was having trouble teaching myself. You got this!! Stay positive! :)

question! I am about to send in my application and the HESI score sheet I am turning in does not have the learning and personality style score on it. Since it says in the packet that you only have to take it once I didn't take it on the Hesi sheet I'm turning in. But they still want you to include it in your application packet. Not sure if I should submit a old Hesi score sheet with the personality and learning style score on it with a sticky note explaining to only use this score sheet for the personality and learning style score or if there is another way to include both without making my packet not acceptable. Had anyone else ran into this problem? What advice do you guys have?

I always wondered the same thing ... I would email and have a record of what ever they tell you to do ... email -------------- she responds quickly

Okay thank you!
