I know its super duper early.. I'm still in the process of taking my pre reqs.. I still need biol 1406 & bio 2401 I made a B in engl 1301 & A in psyc 2301.. I plan on taking bio 1406 in fall & bio 2401 in winter semester. Im taking as many supporting classes as I can to rack up on the extra points. I currently attend collin but they have so many more requirements than el centro so in the event i do not get accepted into elcentro the following semester I will apply at collin.. I still need Hesi & all my shots along with cpr.. anyone in the same situation? Or just getting the process started?? I figured I'd start a thread to help us all get over this together.. feel free to comment advice, concerns or questions :)
Yes!!! I'm nervous too. The thing is, if you think about from previous post like Fall 2015, Fall 2016. There were over 600 comments and on this one there is only 200 something....so I'm not to assume that a lot of people did not apply because of the increase of the Hesi scores. I'm going crazy because I'm wondering if a lot of people applied for the fall that we don't know about.
The hardest thing for me was the tsi. My high school failed me in algebra lol. So when I started college classes like 6 years ago I took it and was placed in developmental math. But I never took the classes I thought I would just study and reteach myself and retake it and pass into college algebra. But didn't do that till like 3 weeks before application deadline lol. This was the last thing I needed to have done to apply. The week before the application deadline I met with my advisor to retake it and was only 3 points away from passing. Managed to go again a couple days later and passed! I literally almost bursted into tears when the testing center lady handed me my score lol.
For the HESI I found a really helpful app that I used. They also have a version for nclex so I plan on using it throughout the program to prepare and get used to those styles of questions.
Girl you are better than me! I sat in two developmental math classes and passed stats and college algebra with B's. Idk how that even happened but when It did I cried on both occasions. I just feel good because I was able to complete about everything with the exception of Micro. Currently this semester I'm in Chemistry 1411 (hard) but I think I'm making a C, and for the first time I'm happy to get a C.

So I have spoken to my two cousins whom one is a recent ECC nursing grad and the other is a student in the program, and they both explained that they can still accept an applicant, as long as all immunizations are completed by the start of clinicals. BUT I am sure that is definitely a person-by-person situation. I am so glad that this will be coming to an end when we all receive our letter. This is my main choice but if I get denied, I have my appl for UTA ready to go. Anyone have a fallback school or plan? What other campuses did yall look into?
