I'm a recent grad from Wyoming, I was surprised by all the hoops you have to jump through just to make it into nursing school and then to graduate and then to get licensed! It's a journey
Just know that you'll get through it and if not this semester then the next one. Perseverance goes a long way :) don't let things hinder your desire for becoming a nurse.
This nursing program stuff gives me high anxiety! I don't know what to expect next! I've spoken to someone that says i may not be able to get in because i have Scit 1407 and 1408, (anatomy and physiology), i took the Hesi in 2013, I have to retake that. Do I need to take Biology 2401 and 2? I also hear that the Scits dont transfer in the universities. I'm rambling I know. But Gheeesh! i almost want to say screw it! and apply for the LVN just to get my foot in the door! How does that Nursing pathways work for UTA? Oh and I have an Associates in Science already. Any suggestions? I had mostly Bs but c's in Micro and Chem. I dont wanna take them over though. LOL!
Hey! I am applying for Fall 2017 too!
Does anyone know if the Hep A shots have to be exactly 6 months apart? I had my first one and never had my 2nd....so it would be more than 6 months apart. I would really hate to have to wait another semester because I had to restart it!
Other than that, I still have a lot to do...
CPR
Physical
set up with Sentry
study and take the Hesi
The Hesi in itself is HUGE since the point system changed!!! Based on my last hesi, I would only get 7 points for it!! So I really need to study!!! I am taking it December 16th. I have plenty of time to study, but I thought I was well prepared last time! I am retaking my Psyc class for an A. Does anyone know if A&P1 is offered during wintermester? I would love to retake it because I got a C!

I know its super duper early.. I'm still in the process of taking my pre reqs.. I still need biol 1406 & bio 2401 I made a B in engl 1301 & A in psyc 2301.. I plan on taking bio 1406 in fall & bio 2401 in winter semester. Im taking as many supporting classes as I can to rack up on the extra points. I currently attend collin but they have so many more requirements than el centro so in the event i do not get accepted into elcentro the following semester I will apply at collin.. I still need Hesi & all my shots along with cpr.. anyone in the same situation? Or just getting the process started?? I figured I'd start a thread to help us all get over this together.. feel free to comment advice, concerns or questions :)
