Checking to see if there are any other applicants applying to elcentro spring 2017 program .. I'm looking to have 24 points before taking my hesi test Jan 2016 ..
I know I'm late here! I am in the middle of applying to el Centro's program right now. I found out last minute that the deadline was extended, so I jumped on it. I just sent all my documents to sentry. I'm retaking the hesi in the morning. I actually did mildly okay last time I took hesi, but since el centro changed their guidelines, I missed the AP minimum score by two points. I'm retaking hesi to improve my AP. Instead of just shooting for the minimum, I'm pulling for at least a high B. After, I retake my hesi, I'm going to turn in my application in person next Monday morning. I can't tell you how many points I'm applying with yet, since I'm retaking hesi. However, before Hesi points, I have 24 points. I know there is a cap of 50 points now, so I'm not sure what's considered competitive now with the new change. I'm gonna guess I'll apply with anywhere from 34-38 points. I'll keep you guys updated!! I am on a time crunch. Deadline is October 7th!

good luck on your hesi!!!!! I think applying with 34-38 points is probably pretty competitive. !75 as of now I don't think anyone knows for use since they won't say what the cut off is. Definitely keep us posted on how your hesi goes!!
Thanks so much!! I appreciate that. I ended up getting an overall score of 90 on my hesi. 92 on ap, 94 on math and combined average of 88 for the others. Looks like I'll be applying with 37 points! Look forward to staying in touch everyone. Keep me posted and I'll do the same.
awesome!!!! Those are execellent scores!! Good luck!! I surely can't wait to get a response!! I'm counting down the days. Since you're applying late you won't find out until the 31st but at least you won't have to wait as long for a response. Waiting 3 months is hard!! Lol
has anyone started getting letters yet? Been hawking yall's blog to see what kind of points are getting in! keep us updated
No, not yet. Letters don't go out until next Friday (Oct 14th). We prob will not actually receive them until that Monday which is the 17th. For those that applied during the extension period they will find out October 31th via email.
Has anyone that mailed their application seen this?
To all Allied Health and Nursing Students who mailed their applications for Spring 2017 admission to the Health Occupations Admissions Office between July 5th and July 29th, please bring a hard copy of your program application form, your Students' Statement of Responsibility form, and your HESI score sheet to the Health Occupations Admission Office in Room P-101 at 301 North Market Street by August 22nd.
This involves only mailed applications; if you submitted your application materials in person, you do not have to submit another copy.
I mailed mine between that period but did not know we were supposed to take a hard copy in as well! Ups says my application was received by the geter and left at the mail room on july 20th. Now Im worried after reading that.

I originally mailed mine but there was a hold on the mail so i picked my package up from fedex and ended up delivering it myself.
Im assuming they may or may not have received everything due to the shooting and the building being closed. Just to be on the safe side I would suggest calling up there. give them your name and they should be able to confirm if they received your application or not. They wont give you an answer on whether you were accepted or not but they should be able to at least confirm receipt of your application. Cant hurt to call and see.

Thank you! I called and they said they cannot provide that information until after letters have been sent. So i contacted UPS and they verified the package was delivered and left at the mail room. The mail getter signed for it so everything should be fine.
I haven't posted before but I am just as inpatient as everyone waiting for our letters. I applied with 45 points, 2 more days before the 14th!!
