El Centro Spring 2018 Nursing Program Hopefules

U.S.A. Texas

Hello Nursing hopefules!

I will be applying for the El Centro Nursing Progam for spring 2018. I wanted to know if anyone else is working on their applications and how far along. Here to provide and receive support and help. I currently have 26 points without the HESI. I was only missing 3 points from the RN-BSN courses. I have taken the HESI 2 times before and there would always be one subject (grammar) that held me back from submitting my application. I did not take the HESI seriously and never studied for the test. This time is different. I have been studying my head off for 2 weeks now. Taking the HESI for the third and final time Feb 11. Hopefully I get to meet some future el Centro students here and start our journey together!

Yeah I know, they changed all the requirements. So annoying.I just received my childhood shot record and I have everything!

Wow..gurl u did good..I'm scheduled to tke mine this Tuesday..I'm jus ready to GT it over with

I know..I hate they changed all the requirements.. I hve been so stressed this past month getting EVERYTHING they require...now I see wat ppl mean..lol

Good luck this Tuesday!! Look back at one of my comment on this forum, I noted a lot of HESI hints. Let me know how you do!

Hi all! Just updating here! So I recently applied to volunteer at Methodist Richardson. I go in for orientation next week. They offer volunteer work for students wanting to be in healthcare. After 100 hours of volunteer work, you will be able to shadow and get real experience. it's great on a resume and gets a foot in the door. I did do research and Methodist and El centro have a separate nursing program we can qualify for if we volunteer for 100 hours. I believe they pay for it too! I wont have enough hours by the deadline for spring semester though. Just wanted to let you all know about this opportunity!

Hi, can you please specify where did you find "a separate nursing program we can qualify for if we volunteer for 100 hours" ?

I have a friend who is applying for spring and she is curently volunteers at the hospital. When I applied to El Centro, I did not see anything about volunteering. If you please can give me some link or tips, I will pass it to her. Thank you.

Go to the page with all the healthcare packages at elcentro website . It's the very last few packages

For those of you looking for the partnership thing, here is the link:

Health Information Packets | El Centro College

Scroll all the way down and its the first two under Hospital Partnership Programs. I look into it and I probably won't do it because you need A&P2, human development, and microbiology done, but if you have those done definitely look into to it! You have to commit for 3 years but basically free school!

Just enrolled in AP II at Brookhaven flex starting 3/20!

Does anyone know what the support courses are? I've looked through the whole packet and I can't find anything about it anywhere. We can get up to 4 points with it but I have no idea what the heck they are.
