El centro nursing fall 2016

Hello, I know this is going up kind of early but i was wondering if anyone else was applying to the nursing program at el centro for fall 2016, if i am not mistaken , the deadline is some where in november to January. How many points will you guys have by the time you apply?

Hello,

Does anybody know if they will give you credit on additional classes even though the exact course isn't the same. For example, I took Music Appreciation instead of Art Appreciation and Intro to Anthropology instead of Intro to Sociology. I know that UTA would accept these classes for BSN but wanted to know if anyone has experienced this and received credit.

The course number has to be exactly the same.

This a hypothetical situation. If i get admitted into el Centro college in spring 2016. Can i transfer my nursing credits (grades are in good standing) from el centro school of nursing to brookhaven college of nursing and vice versa?

I applied for the Spring 2016 program and was denied due to lack of points. They showed that under the HESI scoring I have 26 points but I had 27. I have a meeting with the Dean tomorrow and I'll let you know any info I find out. The new degree plan also has that they are no longet accepting SCIT classes, instead of A&P. I'm asking about that too since I took SCIT instead of A&P, not knowing it would limit my nursing program options.

The new HESI point scoring is listed in the packet now. I'd get as many bridge classes completed as possible. That's how all of my friends have gotten accepted. If possible I would apply directly to a BSN program since you need to complete the bridge courses anyway. I would do that if I had taken A&P instead of SCIT.

I had a great meeting with Dean Becker. She said that the cut off points ended up in the high 29's (meaning high cumulative HESI score) with the old ranking system and 28 with the new ranking system. She told me to leave my packet until about one week prior to when they say to pick them up. This is because they may have additional spots open up.

If you have taken the SCIT courses instead of BIOL 2401 & 2402, they will accept them through the five year period that they are good for application to the program.

Can you help me understand this ? I'm apply for the spring 2017 program . Do you need how exactly the point system will change in planning to take the hesi in jan 2016

Are you asking how has the point system changed? When taking the Hesi you need to score 70 or better. The point system has changed to:

70-74=0

75-84=1

85-89=2

90-94=3

95-100=4

I am retaking my HESI one more time next Saturday! YIKES!!!! Hoping for better results! I am applying at ECC regardless. If i score a little better than I did last time, I will try to apply at BHC and also UTA! I am pretty sure I will get accepted again to ECC. I hope everything just goes as planned this time. Who ellse is applying to ECC Fall 2016?
