congratulations! to everyone that is starting in january!
i'm so excited to meet everyone-please introduce yourself!
:groupwelcome:
I do, too. I was griping about it today to the lecture teacher. It really hurts us for moving forward. They are so concerned with their precious pass rate that they don't care about our future plans, hopes and dreams. If I have an 80, and someone else from another school has an 80, they'll have a better GPA. Her answer? "It doesn't really matter because there isn't much competition anyway."
It does so matter! Gah!
Short question for ECC/NL students:
I've taken all my ADN prereqs (and non-nursing classes) and just finishing up Nutrition. I tried to enroll for the new prereq Nursing Skills class being taught on the weekends during the summer but at 10:30AM on the 1st day of registration it was full!!! Can't take any of the others because I work 40+ hours a week - as do a lot of others. Anyway, back to my question - I decided to enroll in a Pharmacology class that lasts from May to July. It is an Internet based class. Will it help me with nursing school? I've never taken an Internet based class. Can someone give me a hint about how they work? Or, if you've taken this internet class can you tell me about it?
Thanks.....

I didn't take this pharm class but I took several internet classes. You will be able to access the class on eCampus and you will do everything there. I like internet classes because you can do them anytime you want. If you have time/money/motivation to take this class then do it.

Good Luck Maura!
I took Pharm at Brookhaven online. It was fairly easy, and it was a good course to introduce you to all the diff drugs out there.
In the first sem. of nursing school you just get kind of thrown into it...no real formal teachings on drugs, how they work etc. You are supposed to do all of that outside of class when researching your drugs when you go to clinicals. That way you know what your patient is taking and why, etc.

yea, we'll be at the hospital next week from 7-6.....weeeeeeee our last day! I remember thinking our first day of clinical....one day down...now, I'm at the last day! It really has ended up being a great experience. This semester has just flown by, I just can't believe it! I hope all the semesters go this way.
