Yeah, I know. That's why I was wondering.

I'm at work.

Specializes in Med/Surg/Tele.

I'll answer your question tommorrow Spoiled, I'm off to sleep until tommorrow til about 4pm. I just got back from clinical...sitting here trying to unwind, then I'm off to la la land.

Specializes in Telemetry.

Thanks for your input about what to expect (hopefully next semester!). I work on the floor of a hospital, so I'm hoping that of all people, they will understand! So far they have been EXTREMELY flexible with me & they know I am anticipating going to NS. And yes, I am taking the HPRS class this semester. Speaking of, what do y'all think about this? I am debating on whether or not I should spend the time & money to take the 2nd half of HPRS that includes phlebotomy, EKG, & IV starts (but it doesn't count towards the degree plan). I am an honor student & desire to keep it that way - I'm a quick learner but I understand that they really pack it in. Should I go ahead & take it this summer so it can serve as a review when I learn it for actual credit towards my degree or spend the time bracing myself for the fall?

The lab in first semester is fairly easy. It's the lecture that seems to get us.

Specializes in ER.

I second Jaxia's comments. Spend the summer reading the nursing books (we can give you the list of chapters)....it might change a little, but you'd be way ahead and could hopefully start off with high test grades and give yourself a little cushion. Let us know when you find out about admissions!

Our class average was a 75 on test 3. I think we are going to lose several people after this test. It really killed my average.

Specializes in Operating Room.

Sorry about the grades on test 3.....

What did it cover? FandE?

I've heard that we've lost several people after test 3 at NLC also. Our test 3 covered Oxygenation, skin & wound care, comfort/pain, infection control, client safety, and sensory alteration.

To me, it seemed to be the most difficult test so far.

Yang, what are you doing to prepare for lecture? I'm so jealous of your A!!!!! I don't even work or have kids, so I don't really think I have an excuse why I'm carrying a B, I should have an A. You are doing an awesome job btw, holding an A!!!!! You go girl! :monkeydance:

I still have a B :) I just almost had an A before this test (89). Yes, it covered the same thing as Spill's test. F & E is on the next test.

We have our last check off next week!
