Application period is open until July 15. Big changes to the points system and all immunizations must now be complete before applying.

Have you applied? How many points do you have?

I havent applied just yet but i do plan on applying before the deadline. I retake the Hesi Next week so once I take that, get my last Hep B shot, and complete the CPR class I will apply. Without the Hesi I have 27 points. How many points do you have?

I have 42. Finishing my Hep A/B this month and submitting that packet!!

Good job!! 42 points is awesome! Sounds like you have a really good chance of getting in. That's so good!

i just finished my hesi so now all I have to do is my cpr certification and get my last hep b shot then I can apply. if I am calculating correctly just off the top of my head I should be applying with 40/41 points.

have you turned in your application?

That is awesome!! Hope to be a future nurse with you!

I submitted my Sentry MD packet today, and will be submitting my El Centro packet tomorrow. Reviewing the information packet again today to make sure I didn't miss anything.

@Smidgy

Yippee!!! congrats on turning in your information. I'm sure it feels good to turn in your packets. I haven't turned in my application packet yet but I have submitted my Sentry packet and received my complete email back from them so im happy to have that out the way. Ill turn in my application to El Centro probably next week. You have a lot of points so im pretty sure you will most definitely get accepted. I recently recalculated my points and actually have less points than I thought :dead: I actually only have 38 points so im a bit nervous but im hoping it'll be enough to get accepted!!!!!! I cant wait til we get our acceptance letters in the mail. I know the waiting period wont be fun lol I cant wait til October :up:

38 is awesome. I am nervous, too. Going to be a wreck as time goes on... October seems like YEARS away after all this work we've done to get to this point.

YES!!!! completely agree! It took a lot to get to this point of being prepared to apply but the good thing is when we get those acceptance letters (im speaking it into existence) in the mail it'll be all worth it. October definitely feels like YEARS away. Im taking a couple classes this semester so im hoping that will help speed up the time for October to get here!!!!!!!!!

I stand with you in agreement on speaking it into existence! :yes:

I'm taking one class in Summer II, and I literally have nothing else I can take that will get me points. I want to take CHEM 1411 for that extra point, but I haven't had CHEM since HS and I wasn't good at it then, so I want to take CHEM 1405 first. Just not enough time to do it before the program starts in the Spring.

I *just* got my "complete" status back from Sentry MD. That was FAST - I just sent my packet in this morning! I was expecting the 7-14 business day waiting period! That's one less thing to worry about - I've read horror stories about their packets being overlooked or marked as incomplete when they were really complete. Glad that is done with.

yippppeeee!!! yes, I turned mine in on Tuesday morning and got "complete" email back the same day!!! I was sooo happy to have that off my list of things to do lol yay ive heard lots of horror stories as well. im hoping we wont have to worry about any of those issues.

but yea take 1405 so it can prepare you for 1411. I took chem so long ago I cant remember if it was hard or not.
